Mental Health and Well-Being
At Hester’s Way Primary School we provide a safe and supportive environment for building wellbeing, resilience and a strong sense of belonging to the school. Fostering healthy relationships with peers, teachers and school staff are essential to children’s positive experience of school and their emotional development.
We have a Mental Heal and Well-Being Raising Achievement Plan (RAP) to work on identified areas of need to inform improvement and support positive outcomes and change.
Young Mind Matter
We are proud to be a Young Minds Matter school.
Young Minds Matter is a safe and confidential mental health support service developed for children and young people up to 18 years of age.
The team can offer support if your child is struggling with anxiety, low mood and poor sleep or similar issues. This can be either face to face in school or online. To meet with someone from Young Minds Matter you can ask a teacher or member of staff in school to make a referral. This is a fast- tracked service for our school, which may then signpost to other agencies for the identified child’s need.
