Admissions

Admissions to our School

We know that choosing the right school for your child is an important decision. It is really important that you get the chance to have a tour of our school, meet the staff and talk about your child’s specific needs.

If you are considering a pupil place at our school, please ring the school office on 01242 525616 to make an appointment for a tour of our school.

Once you have looked around and talked to staff, we can then take you through the admissions process.

The Local Authority contacts parents/carers of children due to start Reception Class, in October/November before they are due to start school and they administer the admissions process. You will need to respond to their time lines for selecting schools, which is usually by January. Then you will find out your child’s school placement, usually in April of the academic year that your child is due to start school. Please see the buttons.

As a Community School, we follow the Local Authority admissions guidance – please see the GCC documents. If we are oversubscribed for classes, we do hold a waiting list and contact parents/carers when places become available.

Please see guidance and information about admissions attached on this page with links to the Local Authority’s website.

If you need any help or support with this process please let us know – detail of how to get in touch are on our Contact Us page.
